Persistency: the key to success of “the Colonel”

How many times in your life you had an idea, but you didn’t take action? How many times in your life, after some “no”, did you give up? Persistency, having 100% faith in you is the key factor to success. That is what makes the difference between all successful people and all others, who had a great project/idea and didn’t even have the courage to tell anybody else. Not all people exercise their “guts”, embracing their fears, giving them a deadly embrace. How many times do we take excuses for not achieving our goals? I am too old, I don’t have enough money, I don’t live in the right place and I don’t have a title and many more, the most creative ones for not achieving our dreams, for the fear of failure.

I came across a story of a very famous man, whose face is very familiar to me, although I have never been in one of his restaurants. I think I am one of the few on Earth. I think you are familiar with the face of an old man on a big basket of fried chicken. The smiling visage of Colonel Sanders has been the face of KFC (also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken) for many years. Even nearly thirty years after his death, the image of the jovial southern gentleman (Sanders himself was born in Indiana) still stands as the public face of the company he started in the midst of the great depression.

He was 65 years old, when he received his first cheque of $ 99 for his retirement, when he decided he wanted to do something, starting his business. He realized, although he didn’t have a lot of money, he was 65 years old, he was in the midst of the great depression, to have something important: a great recipe to cook the best fried chicken. He started to go one after another to propose his fantastic recipe. And guess what? He received a no, another no and then another no and so on. He collected 1009 no.

His persistency was his success, because at 1010 was a YES. And then it is history the big success he achieved. He died in 1980, leaving a great legacy: His image remains iconic in KFC; a foundation he established in his later years aids charities and funds scholarships with over a million dollars in grants a year.

“The Colonel” is a great example of someone who didn’t care about his age, money availability, depression…We create our destiny with our decisions we take every minute of our life. We are the creators of our fortune or misfortune. Only when we believe 100% in ourselves we can succeed and when we run towards our fears. Only when we are strong enough to face 1000 no, we can win. That’s the Soul’s Expansion. By the way, we are on this planet for this reason, to give us the most beautiful gift: the gift of the experience. No mistakes exist, only experience exists.

L.E.A.D.E.R.S.

I came across a small book from Deepak Chopra, who inspired me a lot many years ago, when I started to work on my self-discovery with awareness. The title of the book is “The Soul of Leadership”. In this book, he told about the meaning for him of the acronym L.E.A.D.E.R.S. After I read something from this book, I was meditating about this acronym, too and my meaning of it. That is what I would like to share with you in this blog post.

L = Law of Attraction of Attraction and Law of Karma:

True leaders know the universal laws and especially these two. They know how to play at the best in their lives, exploiting of the universal laws. They know very well that the Universe is conspiring to make their dreams come true. The Law of Attraction works 24 hours a day in everyone’s life, but only few people know it. True leaders study the principles which govern nature and they apply what they have learnt in their life on a daily basis. They pay attention to their thoughts, feelings, words they speak and actions. True leaders know also the Law of Karma; they know that what they put out, they will receive back. They take responsibility for everything they do.

E = Empowerment

True leaders love empowering themselves. They do it reading books written by great souls; they listen to audiobooks even when they drive, commute or doing their workout. True leaders attend seminars on line or live to expand their knowledge and ultimately their soul. They know that if they don’t have, they can’t give others. Only if they empower themselves in many ways, they are able to empower other souls.

A = Action

True leaders love the process of creation and they have guts to take action to make their dreams come true. They love shipping projects, they love having new experience. And if they “fail”, they stand-up again, carrying on in what they do, learning from their experience. Many human beings stop themselves at the phase of creation, because they don’t overcome their fears: fear of success, of failure or to be judged.

D = Dream

True leaders love dreaming BIG. They know that they are not limits in dreaming and that the only existing limits are the ones we create by ourselves (the bars of our “golden cage”). They dream new projects, new connections, a new life style…They dream to inspire others, to grow other leaders. They have 100% faith their dreams come true; that is why they manifest what they desire. The Universe is their best friend, which supplies them everything they want, just because they “know the rules of the game” and they play at their best.

E = Embracing fears

True leaders embrace their fears. This way, they embrace their life. They know they have the command, that they are the captain of their soul. They use fears to boost their courage. It is also exciting embracing their fears. In doing that, they expand their comfort zone, increasing their confidence.

R = Responsibility

As captain of their soul, true leaders know they are responsible for everything happens in their lives. If they don’t like something, they have the courage to change it.

S = Self-Discovery

True leaders understand that the most fascinating, wonderful, interesting journey is the one in their within. Only when we discover who we truly are and our infinite power, we start thinking, speaking and acting in a very different way. Magically, our outer world changes for better, because we have changed our inner world. We can travel around the world and this is fantastic to be open- minded, but if we miss the journey in our within, we miss the main purpose of our life on this planet: our soul’s expansion.

Flying High

A snap I took on the flight London-Bologna

I don’t know at how many feet I am, but I know I am flying very high. I am on a flight from London to Bologna (Italy). I love creating, while I am flying and I decided to write this blog posts to share my thoughts with all of you.

As I sit here, many thoughts come to my mind. First of all, all my gratitude to Brothers Write for sticking with their dream to fly. I express my gratitude to them every time I am on a plane. First lesson we need to learn: let’s stick with our dreams, although our families, people, friends are telling us “you are crazy”, maybe laughing at us.

Another thought: Pilots are following a flight plan and they are continuously doing a check about the route and the instruments. Second lesson to learn: we need to set up goals (yearly, monthly, weekly, daily), checking every single day we are doing what is necessary to achieve our goals. We need our “flight plan to fly high!” ;)

As I look outside my window, I see the sun is shining above the clouds and the sky is always blue. Third lesson we need to learn: let’s be above our clouds, I mean above what we call problems (they are opportunities). Let’s think the sky is always blue above the clouds. Look at what you are facing like great masters, which are serving you for your soul’s expansion. Be detached to see the truth.

In front of me, I see a picture of all the emergency procedures and there are other two lessons we need to learn from it. One of the procedures says “put the oxygen mask on your nose for first and then help others”. Only if we have, we can give others. Only if we put ourselves on the top of the list, we can give others. It is not selfish; it is wise. Another procedure says: “abandon your bag in case of emergency”. That means: don’t be attached to what you got. Everything is borrowed in this dimension. We have “only” our Soul. Is it few?

Now, the pilot is telling passengers we are at 37000 feet and that we are above Germany and going to be above France very soon. Another thought come to my mind: we born in a place, we defined borders, but the best thing we can do is considering us “citizen of the world”.

Gosh, another thought: be a traveller of this dimension and not a simple tourist. I mean: it is important to understand who we truly are and act from our True Self. Another thought, again: how much it is important to travel to be more open minded, to meet people of other cultures, to try new food, to know other traditions. This enriches our soul. I feel very lucky to have this chance.

Pearls of Wisdom from Og Mandino

I have always seen the name of Og Mandino and read some quotes, but I have never totally realized the greatness of this man, who died on 3th Sept. 1996. Yesterday night, I received on line my new issue of “Success”, a magazine I love and that I advise you to read if you want to increase your learning. I came across to a video in which Og Mandino, explained some of “the Secrets of Success”. What I read about his bio (read it on internet, please!), what I heard from him blew me away and I told myself I wanted to share with all of you some of his pearls of wisdom:

1. Life is a game. It’s precious, holy, beautiful…but it’s a game! How can you play, if you don’t know the rules of the game? (Universal Laws!)
Most of the people are spectators of their lives; only few know what they want
(goals setting) and how to get it.

2. Read great books about success and self-help (two authors changed his life: Napoleon Hill and Clement Stone). He advised to read books from some of famous authors, such as Norman Vincent Peale and Napoleon Hill (both in my MUST READ BOOKS LIST – read my blog post on 3th January 2011 http://expansionofyourwonderfulsoul.blogspot.com/2011/01/books-food-for-mind-spirit-linda.html)

3. Failures always seem to act as if they had 1000 years to liv

4. Never, never treat time as if you had an unlimited supply

Treat every single person like you know a secret about that person. And the secret is you know that person is going to die at midnight. How will you treat that person? You will show more care, love, compassion…Do it and in 3 months your life will change.

5. If you want to succeed, you have got to learn to live with failure

6. No man, no woman is an island. Success absolutely cannot be achieved alone

Mandino wrote The Greatest Salesman in the World which contains the "time-tested wisdom of the ancients distilled into ten simple scrolls" which, if followed for the prescribed ten months, will as Og says, "seep into my other mind, that mysterious source which never sleeps, which creates my dreams, and often makes me act in ways I do not comprehend. As the words of these scrolls are consumed by my mysterious mind I will begin to awake, each morning, with a vitality I have never known before. My vigour will increase, my enthusiasm will rise, my desire to meet the world will overcome every fear I once knew at sunrise, and I will be happier than I ever believed it possible to be in this world of strife and sorrow." (Scroll I)

The scrolls each have a principle designed to replace bad habits built up over a lifetime which "threatens to imprison my future" (Scroll I) with good habits developed through a ten month process of studying the scrolls. Each Scroll's principle is life altering. They are:

Scroll I - Today I begin a new life.

Scroll II - I will greet this day with love in my heart.

Scroll III - I will persist until I succeed.

Scroll IV - I am nature's greatest miracle.

Scroll V - I will live this day as if it is my last.

Scroll VI - Today I will be master of my emotions.

Scroll VII - I will laugh at the world (Keep perspective)

Scroll VIII - Today I will multiply my value a hundredfold.

Scroll IX - I will act now, I will act now, I will act now.

Scroll X - I will pray for guidance.

Mandino's main philosophical message is that every person on Earth is a miracle and should choose to direct their life with confidence and congruent to the Laws that govern abundance. He wrote in Scroll I, "I will not fail as the others, for in my hands I now hold the charts (the Ten Scrolls) which will guide me through perilous waters to shores which only yesterday seemed but a dream." Og was also a proponent of taking action now. In Scroll IX, the phrase I will act now is written 18 times. He recognized that all successful people take on their own lives by "charting" or consciously choosing both the desired destination and the path to reach it. Mandino's philosophical messages are encouragements to build good habits, to live according to the laws that govern abundance and to find a vigour and joy in life as we learn to stand at the helm of our ship charting its course into the safety of the harbour instead of just waiting for someone else to bring it in.

In some of my quotes or blog posts, when I mentioned about working on our influence, impact and legacy is thinking great souls like Og Mandino, who although is in another dimension, is still having a fantastic impact, influence and for sure left us a beautiful legacy.

Take action NOW! Be the change you want to see in the world – like Gandhi used to say!

Pearls of Wisdom from John Wooden

John Wooden: much more than a Coach

If you love basket, maybe you are familiar with the name of John Wooden. He was (he died last June) one of the greatest basketball coaches of all history, who guided the Bruins to 10 national championships over two decades. Those who had the great gift to have met him or having him as a coach, they told about the great impact John Wooden had in their lives. It was more than a coach: he was a father figure, a teacher, a mentor and a master motivator.

I read an article about him, who was called “Wizard of Westwood” and I wanted to share with you some pearls of wisdom from him. His life changed at 12 years old, when his father gave him a piece of paper in which there was the creed to follow:

“Making the Most Oneself

Be true to yourself.

Make each day your masterpiece.

Help others.

Drink deeply from good books.

Make friendship a fine art.

Build shelter against a rainy day.

Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.”

Since then, he followed what was written in that piece of paper, that he kept in his wallet. He told he wasn’t perfect like all other human beings, but once he said: “Every day, I will still try to live up to the creed.”

Another thing I want to share with all of you is about his strategies to find happiness, which for him comes from making and keeping 9 promises:

Promise yourself that you will talk health, happiness and prosperity as often as possible.
Promise yourself to make all your friends know there is something in them that is special that you value.
Promise to think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best in yourself and others.
Promise to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
Promise to forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements in the future.
Promise to wear a cheerful appearance at all times and give every person you meet a smile.
Promise to give so much time improving that you have no time to criticize others.
Promise to be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit trouble to press on you.

Although John Wooden is passed away, his words are still inspiring people all over the world. Me for first!

The biggest challenge of your life

Which is the biggest challenge of your life? Your MBA or University degree? Your new job? Maybe! Anyway, there is perhaps one you don’t consider: you! I mean leading yourself. That’s the biggest challenge to face in this life and this is part of your soul’s expansion, the main purpose why you are here.

How can you be a good leader if you are not able to lead yourself? How to mentor your team? You can reply: “I am not interested in being a leader!” I have a news for you: you are a leader, anyway…of yourself, at least. And if you are a mum or dad, if you have children, you are also a leader. How to be a good leader with your family, your team, your friends…?

Leadership is a daily inside job. Till now, the only answer I found about true leadership is that the only way to be a good leader is leading from within. What does it mean? It means that a good leader is someone who:

Is authentic, ethic, with integrity and honesty
Is never tired to learn (practice of Kaizen = Japanese word which means constant learning)
Sets up goals, having daily mini-goals, weekly, monthly and yearly goals
Schedules, keeping flexibility
Is very passionate about what he/she does
Has guts, courage, vision, a balance between mind and heart
Is nice and firm (when necessary)
Celebrates achievements with his/her team (which can be the family)
Develops other leaders (= the best legacy)
Enjoys life (travelling, food lover, sportive passion…)
Mentors and rewards his/her team, making the time for doing all that
Loves to meet others to have an exchange (constant learning), but at the same time stays on his/her own for regeneration and finding new inspiration
Embraces his/her fears, killing the killers of self-esteem
Loves challenges
Works on self-confidence on a daily basis
Works for having balance in all different areas of life (Inner life, health, family, financial, career, friends, lifestyle, influence/impact/legacy)
Has understood that health/energy is the first priority
Knows what others call problems is part of the soul’s expansion and only opportunity
Takes responsibility for everything, for his/her destiny, being aware to be the captain of his/her soul
Starts and ends days with a world-class mindset
Wakes up very early to acquire a world-class mindset for having a world-class day, using winning tactics and techniques

Ultimately, a good leader is the one who is able to lead himself/herself at the best, having an impact on others’ lives, having influence on others and leading by example. Face your biggest challenge and enjoy the process.

How do you spend your "Currency"?

Thoughts become things. Thoughts are your currency!

How many times have you brought home from a mall something you didn’t like it? Many times, I guess. How many times in your life you manifested what you didn’t want? Tons of times, I guess. Why? The Law of Attraction is one of the universal laws, which works in our life 24 hours a day and it doesn’t matter if we know about it or not. We can decide to ignore it, but it won’t ignore us!

Why don’t we manifest what we desire? I can say many things, but the main one is lack of 100% faith about you just have what you desire in your life. I know the question: how can I have the feeling about something/someone is not yet in my life? That’s the “trick”! You need to learn it, how you can learn everything else! You need practice! YOU CAN!

100% faith in what you want is what you need to connect yourself with “Kamaloca” (Sanskrit word: Kama = desire; Loca = place), the vibrational place of the desires. When you totally believe without doubts that you just have what you want in your life, you emit certain kinds of vibrations, becoming the perfect match to what you want (an object, someone, a situation…).

During these last days, I coached a woman, who told me to manifest what she doesn’t want about her career and love. I understood that she was focused on what she didn’t want and because energy flows where the thought goes, she kept manifesting the opposite she wanted. Pay attention at what you think and feel. Yes, feel. Not only thoughts are important, but also feelings, because they are energy, too, so we emit vibrations with our feelings (our kind of vibes depend on our thoughts, feelings, actions and I add omissions).

If you focus your attention/energy on what you don’t want is like bringing home from the mall something you don’t like and you spent your currency = your thought. Yes, your thoughts are your currency. Think how rich you are. You can buy whatever you like with your thoughts and if you believe you just have it, expressing 100% faith, you manifest.

I want to tell you about the manifestations of something we are scared of. Unfortunately, we tend to manifest faster situations/people/things we are fearful of. We need more time, sometimes, to manifest what we want. Embrace your fears and you will use them for your growth. The more you are further on your spiritual path, the more you will have less fear. You will experience more courage than fear.

You see how infinite our power is! You can create whatever you like with your thoughts. You have all the “currency” you need to have everything you desire. You were already rich and you didn’t know it! Now, you know, so you don’t have excuses to your manifestations. Express your potential, work about your self-awareness, because you are more than you can imagine and YOU CAN EVERYTHING, IF YOU DECIDE IT.

Happy Birthday “Expansion of Your Wonderful Soul”!

On 9^th March 2010, my blog “Expansion of Your Wonderful Soul” was born on Google platform. It was a great challenge and at the same time a great fun for me. I didn’t have the clue how to set up a blog. How did I do it? Just doing it! I learnt in doing it! Very simple. My first blog posts were about “everything is energy”, “the Law of Attraction” and my idea about coaching.

I would like to thank all my friends, followers, people who supported me during all this year. I am trying to do my best in sharing with all of you many things I know, I learnt and still learning. One of my passions is writing and this blog gave me the possibility to exercise this gift I have in this life and also to improve my English…I hope! Sorry for my mistakes I do! It’s part of my expansion!

I am trying to write about topics or giving advice to have an impact on others’ lives and to help them in their soul’s expansion. It’s what I do with my coaching practise. I would love to hear from you about suggestions or advise, to share what you would like to know. I like having feed-back from those who follow me. Please, fell free to write me, asking questions or giving me advice to let my blog and what I do become better and better.

The importance to have a purpose in life

Have you just discovered your purpose in life? First of all, did you make the time to discover it? People who don’t have purpose in life normally experience self-esteem’s issue. Make the time “to dive” into your Within. It’s courageous, I know, not simple but magic, at the same time. Would you like to live this fabulous adventure called life like a dead walking human being? I hope your reply is: No, I wouldn’t!

When you find your purpose in life, every day is a new way to express your Genius level, your creativity, compassion, love and care. You feel good and important. You work hard, but you know you are going to leave a great legacy, you know you can change the course of many lives.

I found my purpose more than 10 years ago, but I didn’t have the courage to follow it, making excuses, the most common ones: no enough money, any specific title (I am full of titles, but I hadn’t the one on that specific field) and the place where I used to live. I gave up my dream. Since one year, this time my soul’s whisper was too strong and I had to consider it! How did I find my purpose in life? Simple, but not easy: hearing myself, being totally honest with myself. Since 2000, I wanted to have a great impact on others’ lives. I dreamed to empower people and organisations. My foundations were/are my great value, such as honesty, integrity, compassion (my best technique with clients like I love to say), also my life and managerial experience.

I understood that all I did in the past, such as being a manager, a journalist, working in the field of communication, PR and organisation of events, was a preparation for what I am doing now. My great foundations are also the spiritual teachings I receive since 1999, which induced me to make a difference on others’ lives. I realized the great impact I have in others’ lives by my words (the more we are steady in the Truth, the more are words become very powerful; they are like blasts of light), my example, walking my talk. My “Holy Hour” was too precious to me to discover my purpose in life and it is what “feeds the fire in my belly and my passion” for what I do.

I didn’t know that coaching was what I wanted to do, but one year ago I discovered it, looking inside myself. I started to study it, attending a course in London and learning from many sources: books, seminars, other colleagues I respect, who are in the field of personal coaching and executive/leadership coaching.

Since I found my purpose in life, I changed myself a lot and my life changed. Our outer world is an expression of our inner world. In pursuing my dream, I discovered parts of myself I couldn’t imagine, such as having fun in dealing with technology. I set up my blog, my website and webmail forms on my own, managing html codes. It was a great challenge and great fun. This way, I increased my self-esteem especially in the area of IT.

Goals are different from the purpose, because they are the medium to realize your purpose. It’s fundamental to set goals…if you want to be successful, of course! Also finding your purpose in life is fundamental. You don’t need to become another Mother Teresa, if you don’t want to. Everyone is important to God’s eyes, I love to say and every purpose is important.

Be aware that everyone can play at Genius Level, if we decide to awake the Genius who lies in our Within. Be aware that everyone can have an impact on others’ lives and it doesn’t matter what you do, where you live, if you have money…you can make a difference in how you do what you do! Smile at life and give a genuine smile to everyone you meet. You are wonderful; you are a “Masterpiece of Art”.

Stop parenting and develop your children

increasing family spirit, increasing the confidence of your children. ~ Linda Lattuca

Yesterday, I received a beautiful message from a dad, who was asking me "to teach him something about life and spirituality". He told me he became dad recently and would like to be the best dad for his son.

I told him that the best he can do is giving his example and be congruent with what he will tell him. If parents tell to their children how much important is learning and then they stay hours in front of TV, do you think that it is congruency?

Stop parenting and develop your children. Be the best example you want to be for them. If you want to teach them to be courageous, show them how courage you have!

Go and visit museums/art galleries with your children to show them beauty, art, inspiration, genius level; play with them in nature; go sailing with them staying in the elements and with the elements; switch off TV and arrange evenings in reading a great book together; cook with your children, having a lot of fun; travel with your children to open their mind and give them permission to travel with the school (some parents in my country they don't give it for their fears, preventing them from having great new experiencies. That's egoism!). These are only few things that came into my mind.

We are the product of our parents, in terms of self-beliefs, values, habits...

Work on your self-discovery to transmit positive beliefs to your children, to teach them by your example the best way "to sail in the sea of Life".

The Power of Your Voice: Word is energy like everything else!

One of the techniques I give my clients to increase the self-esteem is doing affirmations in front a mirror, affirming how wonderful they really are and to celebrate themselves, first of all to have the courage to be in sessions with me, embracing the fear to change. I know it seems cheesy, standing in front of a mirror, telling yourself: “I love myself, I love myself, I love myself”. Every client, and I know from my personal experience, reports how tough is at the beginning to do this affirmation, because you affirm without trust.

Anyway, repetition is a key factor to reach success and when you practise affirmations, one day you start to believe in what you are telling yourself, increasing your confidence. Then, you start to love this practise and the more you do, the more many people in your life start to give you compliments and many aspects of your outer life change, because you change your inner life.

The power of affirmations is tremendous, because word is energy like everything else. That’s why is so important to pay attention not only to our thoughts, but also at every word we speak. I know…you are thinking: impossible! I reply: No! It’s possible! Success is the result of training, so only with a daily practise you can master the way you speak. Clean up your language: don’t swear, don’t use negative words, don’t watch news or read newspapers (I don’t watch TV since 1 year), delete from your vocabulary the word “impossible”, please!

Create your own positive vocabulary; create your own positive affirmations, your “Success declarations” - I learnt this way to call affirmations from the famous Leadership Coach Robin Sharma. Here you are one I am practising. It’s from Émile Coué:

"Every day and in every way,

I become better and better, stronger and stronger".

My spiritual Master told me to create an energetic stream like a rhythm, while you are doing the affirmations, like rapping. It’s like to launch a spell into the Universe and I can assure you that it so powerful! Practise this affirmation every single day. It becomes your “Mantra” to recite as much as you can. It is better doing it aloud. You can do it also mentally, but aloud is better and better. This Mantra will work inside yourself at a deep level and it will become like when you have a song in your mind and you mentally sing it.

Personally, I feel happiness and joy when I do my affirmations, while I am “rapping”, launching the magical energetic stream into the Universe.

During my “Holy Hour”, among the things I do, I sing Mantras in Sanskrit (the Mantra of Courage, Gayatri Mantra and others) and I pay attention to the pronunciation a lot, because the sound of a word is energy and if I want to have a certain result, I need to use the correct pronunciation of those words.

Do affirmations in the morning to have a fabulous start, to go out with a confident and positive attitude, if you want to have an impact on others, if you want to play a better game, if you want “to be the change you want to see in the world”, like Mahatma Gandhi used to say. Do affirmations before going to bed, because it is the time we reprogram our subconscious. Just do it and you will see!

Affirmations are of course only a part of the work to do on ourselves, but they are a very important part. Practise and practise to see tremendous results in your life. Be happy in doing it, feel joy and trust in the power of affirmations. That’s really important! Then, what are you going to lose if you try? Nothing. You can only gain!

Tonight, I received a very important message from Higher Level of Consciousness, which I can summarize in one word: FOCUS! What does Focus mean? Focus means putting your maximum attention in whatever you do, pursuing the excellence. Whatever thing you are doing, do it with passion, with the highest quality, do it from your heart. Staying focused on what we are doing is crafting our mind and only when "We master our Mind, we master our Life" (one of the quotes I made up recently, after reading a great book I advise you: As you think from James Allen).

Everyday, stay focus on your BIG 5 goals of this year, then split them in 5 daily mini goals. Think how many goals you will achieve in a month! And in a year? Powerful? Yes, it is. Everyday, during my "Holy Hour", I do my Spiritual Practises and that's the great chance I give myself to become better and better, stronger and stronger! It's an incredible exercise to stay focused in what I am doing. It can be a prayer or singing a Mantra or a visualization, which is so powerful. If I sing "Gayatri Mantra", for example I focus my attention on the words I speak, to the exact pronunciation. Yes, because if the pronunciation is wrong, the Mantra won't have the desired effect, because word is energy and word is so powerful. That's Focus! The more you will excercise your mind this way, the more you will acquire the habit to stay focused in everything you will do, avoiding distractions.

We live in a world, full of distractions and it's so easy to be distracted, especially from technology: Facebook, Twitter, e-mails, TV...Try to do what you do pursuing perfection. I know...you are thinking: no one is perfect! I would say that we are perfect in our imperfections! Anyway, if you look for perfection, maybe you can catch excellence! Focus your attention on your goals, having fun, enjoying the process, because this is very important to increase your vibrations. When the thought goes energy flows. Stick the paper with your Big 5 goals in front of you, look at them and recite them everyday, every morning.

How to handle criticism?

The more you are higher visioneer, the more you are innovative, the more you deliver excellence, the more you will attract criticism. You can look at criticism from different points of view:

- as an opportunity to grow and think/perform bet...ter what you do;

- as a compliment. Leaders attract critisism, because they deliver not less than excellence;

- as a "trap" which tries to let you defocus from your goals/dreams/mission;

- as a good sign about you are an innovator (normally people don't like change...you are changing the status quo!);

- as Leader without a title...criticism is part of the "package"! :)

At the end, criticism fuels you, because if you are a real "Leader without a title" you won't be discouraged!

Self-Esteem & Leadership without title

How do you respond to situations? I just finished a coaching session with a wonderful girl, who is a receptionist in a hotel in London. She is very loved and adored by customers. Recently, a customer embraced her, telling her: “You are the best receptionist in the world and I travel all around the world!” Wow, what a fantastic compliment!

Anyway, this wonderful receptionist, who delivers excellence in doing her job, felt very bad because of some words spoken from her boss, recently. Her manager told her to go back to her working place, being nice and doing her job. She started questioning about herself, if she really delivers excellence and so on. Her self-esteem was down and down. Today, she told me she would like to change her job, but she can’t find another one and she feels “powerless”.

What I started to tell her is that it is important how we respond to situations and not the situation itself. The words spoken from the manager hurt her very deeply; although she knows her value and that she delivers excellence to customers. What does it happen in these cases? Every time, we feel hurt from some others’ words, questioning about ourselves, with a consequent loss of self-esteem, we have to take our responsibility of our feelings. It is our decision to feel bad, it is the decision we take about the reaction we have. In that moment and this way, we decide to give our power away. Yes, we give our power away!

The most important person, who has to know your value, is yourself. Why? Because in your life, you can find, on your path, people who can have self-esteem issues, trying to put you down (it’s their favourite game! Only, this way, they feel stronger!). Don’t give your power away, please! Of course, every one of us can improve the performance in any kind of role; no limit, but at the same time, don’t lose your self-confidence, because everything starts from there in life, in any area of your life.

Don’t take personally what others tell you, try to understand if someone is talking to you in a certain way because he/she feels anger or frustration or she/he is under pressure. At the same time, be strong and if someone is not dealing with you with respect, exact respect and be respectful, at the same time. Don’t give your permission to people to deal with you without respect. Be still about that!

Self-esteem is the first brick to put at your base – one of my favourite quotes. Feel to be a leader whatever you do. It’s not important what you do, but how you are doing it. Are you delivering excellence to your customers? (Any role you play in this life. Even if you are a mum/dad…your “customers” are your husband/wife, children…). Self-esteem is a daily inside job and leadership, too. Leadership starts from your mind, heart and then actions. It’s about how much passion you have in your belly in doing what you do. And if you don’t like what you do, stop complaining and act to find what you like, to pursue your dream. Being bold!

Today, I had a powerful chat with one of my cousins and he told me: “I learnt that to have success in life you need two things: courage and respect. You need to take risks and only the experience will give you the answer you are looking for in taking a decision. Then, you have to be respectful in front of everyone!” Wise words!

Be the CEO of your area, whatever job you do or role you play. Do you think you need titles and money to be a leader, to have an impact on others’ lives? Change these limitative and false beliefs, if you have them, please! What about Mother Teresa and Gandhi? Not very tall, not riches (her best richness was inside them!), but at the same time with an incredible inner strength, with a will of iron towards their goals, expressing their talents and potential, their True Self (they expressed the God/Divinity they had in their within! Like every one of us should do it!). You can follow their example, because they are great examples. Feel inspired from them and emulate their best practises: be loving, caring and be still in your great values. Deliver not less than excellence, have faith 100% in yourself and don’t forget how power-full you are and that you can everything…only if you decide it!

Here you are my reply, I would like to share with all of you:

Hi Mohammed,

I am so sorry if I am replying only now, but your message was considered a spam and I found it late. Sorry for that!

You asked me:

Expecting your guideline how to attract and stand out from the crowd.

First of all, the Law of Attraction is working in our lives 24 hours a day! So, you are attracting, anyway! What are you attracting? It depends on what you put out in this life and past lives!

It depends on thoughts, feelings, actions and omissions of this life and past lives. It’s very simple, at the end!

A different thing is: how to attract what you desire?

1) Focus your attention on what you desire: Where your focus goes your energy flows.

2) You need only 1 thing to manifest: FAITH 100% in YOURSELF and that you have just achieved your dream/dreams

3) Be happy, feel joy, laugh, live in the NOW: enjoy the journey to achieve your goal/goals

4) Deliver not less than excellence. It doesn’t matter what you do, but how you do it!

5) Realize your talents, express your potential

6) Be creative, because you are

7) Elevate the quality of your life, because YOU CAN!

8) Have an impact: leave people better than you found them!

9) Feel Special, because you are!

10) Be a Leader; act as a Leader in every area of your life. You don’t need titles for doing that! YOU CAN, if you decide that you can!!!
